UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

JACK IS WORKING ON TWO PROJECTS
The first is an anthology of stories from USAF Radar Site Vets. Radar sites dueing the cold war ringed the US to detect any air attacks primarilly by the Soviet Union. These sites were on isolated mountain tops with little amenities such as theaters, stores, restaurants, etc.About 150 officers and airmen and civilians were assigned to each site. The main activity was working, and sleeping. Off duty time was spent studying, reading mailed in periodicals such as Playby magazine, playing ball and drinking.which was interupted by eating in a mess hall. There were few outside activities due to the distance from the sites to civilization. Many personnel arrived at a radar site and did not leave the site for a year. It was a little like having done something bad and getting locked up. So many of these Air Force Prisoners created activities. The anthology is a collection of stories from the men who did it with some stage settings. Proceeds from this book will be donated to the USAF Radar Site Veterans Museum, the site to be determined.

The other project is another anthology from a group of writer friends, mostly former police, law enforcement, Investigators, military people who meet on the first Wednesday of every month. They call themselves Wednesday Warrior Writers. They are preparing, stories about American Patriots and Heroes.Thge proceeds from this book will be donated to the Wounded Warriors.
